Pavones Yoga Center is a yoga teaching school registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200- and 500-Hour levels. Our unique 500-Hour advanced yoga teacher training certification is obtained through one month-long intensive, the three modules as outlined below, plus a 40-hour community Seva Project:

- The Art of Flow: Unfolding the Sacred Craft of Teaching (108-Hour) Feb. 3 - 13, 2014
By choosing the 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certification at Pavones Yoga Center, you will have the highest recognized certification available through Yoga Alliance, the yoga world's most recognized governing board. Our 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is unique in that each module will unfold to offer enlightening gifts and specialty training for your career as a yoga teacher, while also enriching your personal yoga journey. Each advanced level module will allow you to deepen your personal practice deep in the jungles of Costa Rica. We open our hearts to the mystery, bow to the sacred and divine, and at the same time acknowledge the ongoing nature of the path we walk. You will learn not only how to teach daily yoga classes, but how to create specialized workshops and weekend retreats. At the 500-Hour level, you will learn advanced yoga teaching techniques while stimulating your own personal growth. Our advanced training programs are challenging and fun: sometimes physically, sometimes mentally, and always spiritually or at a soul level. The challenges that are woven into our courses are delicately structured to bring about deeper levels of over-all well-being and personal integration. A Pavones Yoga Center Advanced Certification is composed of three modules that distill the essence of yoga into its purest form; thus upon graduation all of our graduates have undergone the same rigorous training and learning experiences, and share the same unique skill-sets that define a Pavones Yoga Center yoga teacher.
Prerequisite: 200-hour Multidimensional Yoga Teacher Training Certificate from Pavones Yoga Center, or other Yoga Alliance-Approved 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.
Contact Hours Required: The Art of Flow, The Anatomy of The Self, The Heart of Practice
Non-contact Hours Required: (40 hours) At the 500-hour level, our mission at Pavones Yoga Center is to cultivate yoga teachers who are knowledgeable, inspired and forever curious on the yoga path. Thus we work individually with our advanced-level teachers to develop seva (service) projects. In addition to completing the three modules listed above, each of our graduates creates a program or offering in his or her community to share some aspect of yoga with the world. This can be as simple as volunteering at your local library to read books to children after school, or as complex as your imagination desires. Contact us for more details.
Yoga Alliance requirement: 100 hours of documented teaching experience following your 200-hour training.
All Pavones Yoga Center teacher trainings are offered in true retreat style. Just as the ancient yogis retreated to remote caves to deepen their practice, at Pavones Yoga Center our intention is to create several distinct opportunities to immerse yourself in the study of esoteric and evolving yoga arts while stepping outside of your daily routine. Accommodations, meals, yoga classes, and training sessions all take place on site. On weekends and in the afternoons you will have ample time for exploring the tropical jungle and nearby beaches and rivers. Each day you will have time to play in the Pacific Ocean.
