TIME: Classes are 90 minutes in length. Arrive at least 5 minutes early, we close the gate once class has begun.

Yoga classes at Pavones Yoga Center are non-competitive, non-authoritarian, and inspiring. A core principle in any practice at Pavones Yoga Center is that you as practitioner have the final say in what feels good or bad for you on any given day. Students of all levels and from all traditions are welcome to attend our public classes.

PYC Vinyasa Flow

This vinyasa class is a slow-paced mindful flow suitable even for those new to yoga while providing a taste of challenge and heat (in case you didn't get enough walking up the hill) for those students with a regular yoga practice. Vinyasa yoga utilizes the synchronization of breath and movement to safely explore depth in postures and to calm the brain and nervous system. Our teaching is inspired by the people who show up from day to day and therefore you will never receive the same sequence twice. These classes are offerings from the heart.

Surf Therapeutics

Surfer's Therapeutic Yoga is designed with four-hour Pavones surf sessions in mind. After a day in the water, your body craves rest ...and healing. This class will deliver. It combines deeply relaxing restorative yoga postures with hands-on, muscle-melting assists, plus joint-specific practices proven to improve range of motion for full-force deliciousness. Toss in a series of poses using tennis balls at targeted trigger points and you'll never want this class to end.

Yoga Basics

Our Back To The Basics class focuses on alignment and integrity across standing and seated asanas, twisting poses, and inversions. Blending principles of alignment from Iyengar yoga with an anatomical exploration of how different muscle groups work together, this class offers in-depth posture breakdowns that have the capacity to transform your yoga practice. Open and interesting for all levels.

Yin/Vin

This class opens with a handful of yin poses for grounding and centering, then smoothly transitions into a smooth-paced vinyasa practice for the larger muscles of the body and for the heart. The cool-down is composed of therapeutic sequences thats target the intrinsic muscles (those little muscles close to the skeleton) to release tension and re-pattern movement for greater range of motion. Yin & Vinyasa (Yin/Vin) is one of the yummiest, most beloved yoga combination classes and suitable for all levels of practitioner.
